John Winestone is a neurosurgeon, specializing in cranial and spinal surgery.  Today, he divides his time between North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS, and Shaare Zedek Medical Center, in Jerusalem, Israel, where he was one of the founding surgeons of the new department in 2016.   He has experience in research, business development, and teaching student and residents. He completed his medical degree (2003) and residency (2009) at the University of Tennessee-Health Science Center in Memphis, followed by fellowships in Functional Neurosurgery (Hadassah University Hospital-Jerusalem), and in Complex Spinal Surgery (Mayfield Clinic-University of Cincinnati).
