Skeletal Diagnostic Digital Imaging

MSKai is artificial intelligence-based technology (AI) for Skeletal Diagnostic Digital Imaging (SDDI), currently focused on spinal imaging and care and dedicated to improving patient care, surgical outcomes and supporting pre-surgery authorizations for patients. SDDI lessens the time required for physicians to prepare and deliver prior authorization requests by providing a complete prior-authorization request solution, tailored to each payor’s requirements, for review and response. The current software aims to identify, measure, and classify skeletal anatomy and pathologies from a quantitative and qualitative standpoint within seconds— dramatically expediting patient care while lessening the time, cost, and administrative overhead of the prior-authorization process. MSKai intends to be the answer to skeletal value-based healthcare for the physician, payor, and patient.

The Present Challenges in Patient Diagnosis Process

Imaging is the front-end of the patient care process but…

  • Image processing, analysis, and sharing are inconsistent and cumbersome.
  • Radiology workforce has impediments in workload and staffing.
Treatment Authorization is Cumbersome and Slow…

  • Compiling data, images, and reports and correlating with insurance checklists is labor intensive.
  • Varying EMR data, formats, and reports increase difficulty.
  • Efforts to verify may be greater than efforts to diagnose.
Dialogue, Discussion & Analysis are difficult…

  • Time and resources to produce reports with sufficient details are limited.
  • Physicians’ and payors’ objectives can become unaligned without trusted data.
  • Requirements are dynamic and specific to each plan/payor.
